About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Disability Access team at our Brisbane office. The successful candidate will be working at the forefront of an emerging discipline alongside a dynamic team of like-minded professionals in a positive, energetic workplace.
As part of our team, you would be working in a variety of access related areas including assessing architectural documentation, providing design advice/ alternatives, onsite inspections, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Livable Housing Australia (LHA), etc.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing design documentation.
Preparation of written reports;
Analyse and interpret legislation;
Developing practical design alternatives that satisfy legislative requirements;Â
Communicating requirements with clients;Â
Self-management of clients and projects;
Input and advice on access design documentation (drawings);Â
Undertaking onsite access inspections; and
Some past relevant experience would be favourable but not essential. All relevant training will be provided.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) or equivalent;
Creativity, driven, attention to detail;
Positive and proactive mindset;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Outlook);Â
Exceptional time-management skills/experience;Â
High capacity for critical and analytical thinking;Â
Ability to work independently, as well as in a larger team; andÂ
Hold a current Victorian drivers license.
